Assisting Victims of Hurricane Harvey
The Arnold & Itkin Foundation Stands Strong with Texas
When Hurricane Harvey unleashed 27 trillion gallons of water on the greater Houston area, very few of our neighbors or friends were spared. All of us experienced severe losses (either of our homes or cars), or we knew someone who had. However, we had the privilege of watching our community come together and support each other (as Texans do).
When our colleagues and co-workers lost everything they had, we pooled our resources so they could have food or their children could have clothing. Additionally, our firm gave hundreds of supplies to Casa de Esperanza, a local charity that serves children in crisis due to neglect or abuse.
When Disaster Struck Close to Home
Our own Caj Boatright drove across the state to bring back thousands of vital supplies to distribute in Houston. He drove around giving away food, clothing, and paper towels to people and charities in South Texas. The team at Arnold & Itkin helped distribute these supplies alongside the Boatright family. Amazingly, Caj and his family did all this while their own home was still flooded.
The Arnold & Itkin Foundation was honored to serve our neighbors and community during the worst natural disaster South Texas has ever faced. We continue to be humbled by the generosity, character, and spirit of our friends, neighbors, and employees.
